This woodlands is a walk away from where I live. It is fairly small but the tall, imposing pine trees and needle floor make it a magical place to walk. This particular day was wall to wall sunshine casting strong shadows and dappled light through the canopy. I painted this as part of the body of work for my Open Studios exhibition 2014.
